Marc Isambard Brunel's Thames Tunnel opened in 1851. When the engineer fell ill during construction, Marc's son, the famous Isambard Kingdom Brunel took over at the age of 20.
This tunnel book, used to promote the tunnel when it opened is now at Bristol reference library. Early merchandising?
